Layout Description
The UC&W Railroad is a modern-day, operations-oriented Class 1 railroad. It collaborates with CP, CN, CSX, UP, BNSF, and VIA Rail. The railroad owns NS and all Amtrak operations in North America, except for the Northeast Corridor and the Amtrak lines in California. The modeled section of the railroad showcases the area between Salt Lake City, Utah, and Seattle, Washington.
Operations include mainline freight, commuter rail, mainline passenger services, steam excursions, and local freight. The scenery is approximately 70% complete, with major remaining features including two town areas, an industrial area, and various specific industries. Visitors will also notice that the layout owner has a sense of humor.
