The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Network is the place to start when researching the B&O on the World Wide Web. It includes an extensive directory to many other websites that contain information about the railroad along with plenty of original content.
The Baltimore and Ohio Sites page has over 600 links! No need to check the search engines because chances are the site you're looking for will be here, and it will be a lot easier to find too.
To find out about any recent changes to this website go to our Facebook page.
How much do you know about the B&O? Do you consider yourself a novice or an expert? Read the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Timeline and I guarantee you'll learn a lot more. After that go to the Test Your Knowledge page and take the quiz. Try it, it's fun!
This website was originally designed to be displayed on a monitor with a resolution of 1024 x 768. If you're using a widescreen monitor with a 1920 x 1080 resolution the site's frame proportions might look a bit better if you click here. If the proportions still don't look right place your cursor on the line that separates the frames, then left-click and drag the line either left or right, or up or down in the case of the Title Frame, until it looks right.
The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Network is an independent website created by Scott Dunlap and is not affiliated with the B&O Railroad or CSX Corporation. It first appeared on the Internet on October 22, 1999. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Timeline was previously a separate site that first appeared on the Internet in August, 2000. It was merged into the B&O Network on April 5, 2006.
The external links are to other websites that, with a couple of exceptions, have no affiliation with the B&O Network. Many are excellent but visitors should understand that the information presented therein may not be historically or technically accurate. For organizational purposes some sites, or portions of them, are listed more than once and perhaps in more than one category.
If you have any comments, know of another site that should be linked or would like to report a dead link, please e-mail Scott Dunlap. Your feedback will help improve this site and keep it up to date. All e-mails will remain confidential.
