A Baltimore and Ohio freight, powered by a class S-1 2-10-2 Santa Fe type locomotive threads its way out of the Washington, D.C. interlocking during the summer of 1950. A classic portrait for showing off B&O power, number 6179, nick-named “Big Six” is presently in her 25th year of durable service. Built by Lima, she was among 50 ordered by the company.
